- Preliminary data from 2020 National Post-accute and Long-term Care Study (NPALS) are available as restricted use files with selected variables through the NCHS RDC. Additionally, data on COVID-19 are available to the public through a series of figures and tables. The 2020 survey provided an opportunity to collect nationally-representative COVID-19-related data for ADSCs and RCCs that is not available from other data systems. Findings represent data collected from January 2020 through March 2021, including the number of COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths among users and staff, practices taken to reduce COVID-19 exposure and transmission, and personal protective equipment (PPE) shortages. These figures and tables may be accessed through the NCHS COVID-19 data dashboards here: https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/covid19/npals.htm (CDC)
