I recall when my family moved to a Chicago suburb in 1973, no one knew what I was talking about when I asked for biscuits. It wasn’t until Jimmy Carter was elected President in 1976 that restaurants up there learned about biscuits, mayonnaise, iced tea and similar southern delicacies. I’m sharing this video because everyone needs to know how Grandma cooked and everyone needs (IMHO) to know about biscuits.

A different way of cooking biscuits is to make old fashioned skillet bread. In the video below, Pa Brown shows how that’s done.
