From Registered NurseRN: Tuberculosis (TB) is a contagious bacterial infection caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Tuberculosis symptoms can include coughing that is persistent for 3 weeks or more, night sweats, fever, chest pain, weight loss, coughing up blood, and chest pain.
